Sebi likely to clear overhaul of MF fees stricter conduct code

The capital markets regulator has proposed sweeping changes to the total expense ratio or TER - the annual fee that mutual funds collect from unit holders - that will result in the cost of investing their schemes declining. Some of these suggestions have met with strong opposition from mutual funds and intermediaries like distributors, who fear the moves would impact business in a big way.
